Fishing Bimini, Bahamas

Map of Bimini, Bahamas.Bimini and the surrounding island of the Bahamas are just 45 nautical miles east of Miami, or about a one-and-a-half-hour by boat ride.

Accessible only by boat or plane, these waters show off their aquamarine tones like no other. This remote area is still relatively virgin to the sport of fishing. Anglers have - in many respects - only touched the surface.

Here's a really nice Black Grouper caught in Bimini, Bahamas.Bimini is actually made up of two Islands, and the surrounding waters offer many different types of fishing, such as: deep dropping for seldom seen snapper; grouper in depths over 500 feet; trolling the blue water for wahoo, billfish and dolphin; or just hanging out over the reef where the action is non stop with yellowtail, kingfish, mackerel, barracuda, jacks, sharks, grouper and the list goes on.

Hotel accommodations are available, or you may choose to "rough it" and stay aboard the boat. WE would camp on nearby islands and Bar-B-Q our own dinners.
